A cinema camera the size of a stills body

Full frame with over 15 EV of dynamic range, active cooling and the two-input XLR handle in the box. It weighs 640 grams.

Audio solved out of the box

The handle with two XLR / TRS inputs is included, not an extra. It mounts on the Multi Interface shoe, so no cable and no power run between handle and body, and the camera records four channels at 24 bit.

Rigging without a cage

Five 1/4" threads sit in the magnesium body itself and three more on the handle. Monitor, wireless mic and light hang straight off the camera — you will not need a cage.

It rolls until the card runs out

A fan and vents work inside, so recording time is not capped even at 4K 60p in 10-bit 4:2:2. No countdown to overheating, no pause to cool down.

Twelve million pixels that see in the dark

The large pixels of the full-frame sensor reach ISO 409,600 and over 15 EV of range. Low light stops being a reason to light the scene.

S-Cinetone straight out of camera

The colour taken from the FX9 line looks right without grading. When there is time for post, S-Log3 and HLG are there.

Stabilisation even while walking

Five-axis in-body stabilisation and Active mode hold the handheld shot well enough that the gimbal often stays at home.

16-bit RAW over HDMI

The full-size HDMI connector puts out 16-bit RAW up to 4,264 × 2,408 for an external recorder.
