The SmallRig Top Plate MD3990 protects the XLR handle unit of the Sony FX30 and FX3. It sits exactly on the top of the unit and built-in pads cover it across the whole surface. It can be fitted to the top of the handle with an adapter, or with a 3/8"-16 screw onto the Sony FX3 XLR Handle Extension Rig MD3490.
