Datavideo PTC-280NDI 4K PTZ Camera (Dark Blue)

The Datavideo PTC-280NDI is a dark-blue professional PTZ camera with resolution up to 4K and NDI|HX support. It is designed for permanent installations in conference rooms, classrooms, auditoriums and studios where remote framing and integration into a network video workflow are useful. Its Sony 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor with approximately 8.51 megapixels and 12× optical plus 16× digital zoom cover wide views as well as distant detail.

The camera provides simultaneous HDMI 2.0 and IP output up to 2160p50/60, alongside 3G-SDI output up to 1080p50/60. NDI|HX can carry video, audio, PoE power, tally and control over one Ethernet cable. The camera also supports 12 V DC power, 255 presets, 300° pan and tilt from −15° to +90°. Control is available via DVIP, VISCA over IP, NDI, RS-422 or the included infrared remote. Supported streaming protocols include RTSP, RTMP(S), SRT, ONVIF, multicast and NDI|HX, with dual streaming to two destinations. The PTZ View Assist app for iOS and Android can monitor live video and control up to four compatible Datavideo cameras.

4K VIDEO AND NDI|HX IN ONE CAMERA

The PTC-280NDI carries video, audio, PoE power, tally and control over Ethernet. A single network cable simplifies installation on a ceiling or wall.

HDMI 2.0 and IP output support up to 2160p50/60; 3G-SDI delivers video up to 1080p50/60. Outputs can be used simultaneously according to the production wiring.

CONNECTORS FOR DIFFERENT WORKFLOWS

The rear panel provides HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, an RJ-45 network port with NDI|HX and DVIP, RS-422, a 3.5 mm audio input and USB for service updates. Power the camera with the included 12 V DC adapter or a PoE+ source in the network infrastructure.

Remote control supports DVIP, VISCA over IP, NDI and RS-422; pan, tilt and zoom can also be controlled with the included IR remote.

RECALL FRAMING WITH PRESETS

Store up to 255 preset positions and recall them when switching to another speaker, area of the room or scene. The camera pans through 300° and tilts from −15° to +90°. PTZ View Assist can monitor live video and control up to four compatible Datavideo cameras.

The NDI|HX workflow connects multiple cameras through a PoE network switch and sends them to an NDI switcher. The manufacturer’s connection diagram is shown below.
