Datavideo DAC-8PA SDI to HDMI Converter

Datavideo DAC-8PA converts a 3G/HD/SD-SDI source to HDMI at resolutions up to 1080p50/60. It is an easy way to connect a professional SDI camera or switcher to an HDMI monitor, projector or display, including screens without built-in speakers.

The converter provides one SDI input, an SDI loop-through output and an HDMI output with embedded audio. SDI audio can be de-embedded and sent to the unbalanced stereo RCA outputs, while the HDMI output can carry the audio with the picture.

Automatic input detection supports 1080p, 1080i, 720p, PAL and NTSC formats. SDI equalization and reclocking support reliable signal delivery, and Mini USB is provided for firmware updates. The compact metal housing measures 112 × 85 × 45 mm and weighs 0.4 kg.

SDI TO HDMI, WITH AUDIO

The Datavideo DAC-8PA converts 3G/HD/SD-SDI signals up to 1080p60 to HDMI, while also letting you de-embed audio from SDI to an unbalanced stereo RCA pair. It is useful when connecting a professional camera or switcher to a monitor without its own audio output.

HDMI PICTURE, SDI LOOP-THROUGH

The converter sends the incoming SDI picture to HDMI with embedded audio and passes the signal on through SDI Loop Through. You can add an HDMI monitor to a production chain without interrupting the downstream connection. Automatic format detection, SDI equalization and reclocking help maintain a stable signal.

AUDIO OVER HDMI OR ANALOG RCA

Audio embedded in SDI can be carried to HDMI or de-embedded to stereo RCA L/R. The separate analogue output is useful for connecting active speakers or an audio system. Mini USB is provided for firmware updates.
