Libec LX-ePed Studio

LX-ePed / LX-ePed Studio is Libec’s electronical pedestal system specially designed for PTZ cameras. It features remote control -- allowing you to remotely elevate the column -- and a payload capacity up to 10 kg (with a weight of 11.2 / 14.2 kg). Standard ePed version has a ground spreader at the base, and a maximum height of 247 cm, the Studio version has a wheeled dolly, and a maximum height of the pedestal 261 cm. 4/2023.

The Libec LX-ePed Studio is the first-generation electric pedestal with the DL-3RB dolly for PTZ cameras up to 10 kg. Its motorised column raises the camera by 400 mm, the height ranges from 106.5 to 261 cm, and it is operated from a wired controller on a 30 m LAN cable.

Height as a fourth axis

The controller adds elevation to the pan, tilt and zoom of a PTZ camera. A full column movement takes approximately 14 to 40 seconds.

A wired controller

The controller connects to the pedestal with a 30 m LAN cable and uses no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. A rocker raises and lowers the column.

Folds to 100 cm

Folded, the pedestal is 1005 mm long with a 241 mm diameter. The column alone weighs 10.3 kg, the DL-3RB dolly 3.9 kg.

Libec’s first electric pedestal

The LX-ePed started Libec’s line of electric pedestals for PTZ cameras. Today it is succeeded by the LX-ePed 2 with height presets and IP control support.

100 mm bowl

The platform takes a video head with a 100 mm ball.

Camera attachment

A PTZ camera mounts with a 1/4" or 3/8" screw.

Accessory port

Two sets of 1/4" and 3/8" holes on the tripod base.

Power

AC 100–240 V via adapter, optional V-mount battery.

Head mounting platform. The top platform has a 100 mm bowl for video heads and 1/4" and 3/8" screws for mounting a PTZ camera directly.

Accessory port. The tripod base has 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes for a monitor, controller or other accessories.

V-mount battery power. With the optional VM-12V adapter the pedestal runs on a V-mount battery, with no outlet needed.

Built-in bubble level. A bubble level in the head mounting platform makes levelling the pedestal easy.
