The Datavideo HS-1600T Mark II is a portable four-channel HD/SD production studio with a built-in switcher, PTZ camera control, 17.3-inch Full HD monitor, four-channel audio mixer, H.264/AVC streaming encoder and SD-card recorder. Three HDBaseT inputs carry video, control, power and tally over one Cat6A cable per compatible camera; the HDMI input also provides a loop-through output. Route the program over HDMI and HDBaseT while streaming to two platforms at once. It suits mobile studios, worship, education, live events, interviews and corporate streams operated by one person. Auto Tracking availability depends on the firmware version of the specific unit.

Mobile production over HDBaseT
This four-channel production studio in a portable briefcase design combines video switching, control for up to three compatible PTZ cameras, a 17.3-inch Full HD monitor, audio mixing, H.264 streaming and SD-card recording. It suits single-operator productions, live events, worship, education, interviews and corporate streams.
A simpler workflow for one operator
One system brings together camera switching, joystick PTZ control, preview and program monitoring, streaming and recording. A separate streaming encoder or recorder is not required.
In Datavideo’s Memorial Presbyterian Church case study, the HS-1600T Mark II was used with three Datavideo PTC-140TW cameras. Its straightforward controls helped volunteer operators prepare and run weekly services.
HDBaseT simplifies camera cabling
Three HDBaseT inputs and the built-in camera controller support up to three compatible PTZ cameras. One Cat6A cable per camera carries video, control, power and tally, shortening setup and making it easier to place cameras away from the control desk.
The control surface includes a joystick for pan, tilt and zoom plus preset buttons for recalling prepared shots. Auto Tracking depends on the unit’s firmware; earlier units without the feature may require a firmware update and a new control-surface label.
Stream and record from one system
The built-in H.264/AVC encoder can send the program to two streaming platforms at the same time. Protocols include RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP, HLS and SRT; with dvCloud, SRT can provide a more resilient contribution link over an unstable connection. Start streaming and recording with one button.
Recording saves MP4 files to an SD card. The built-in 17.3-inch, 1920 × 1080 monitor provides a production view without a separate display.
Auto Tracking note: Availability depends on the firmware version of the specific unit. Check the control-surface version before installation; some earlier units need an update.
