The Datavideo HS-1650T is a portable four-channel HD/SD production studio with HDBaseT for live events, conferences, lectures, and education. Its rugged case combines a video switcher, streaming encoder, SD-card recorder, four-channel audio mixer, multiview monitor, and control for up to three compatible Datavideo PTZ cameras. A 14-inch touchscreen makes scene switching and camera control straightforward, while the built-in 17.3-inch Full HD display shows multiple video sources at once. Three HDBaseT inputs and one HDMI/PC input connect cameras and presentation graphics; HDBaseT carries video, power, control, and tally over a single Cat-6A cable for runs up to 100 m. The integrated H.264/AVC encoder streams over common IP protocols while recording MP4 files to an SD card. The HS-1650T streamlines mobile production without requiring separate switching, recording, and audio-mixing units.

A practical multi-camera production setup

The manufacturer's diagram shows a typical workflow with three PTC-145T PTZ cameras connected over HDBaseT, a computer connected over HDMI, and an external audio mixer connected over RCA or XLR. The HS-1650T can send the program feed to an HDMI monitor and an HDBaseT projector, stream to online services, and record MP4 files to an SD card at the same time.

HDBaseT carries video, power, control, and tally over one Cat-6A cable for runs up to 100 m. The cameras, projector, external monitor, computer, audio mixer, and SD card shown in the diagram are not included with the HS-1650T.

Video, audio, and control in one place

The built-in 4-channel audio mixer handles analogue sources from two balanced XLR connectors and a stereo RCA input. The Picture-in-Picture function lets you display a selected source in an adjustable sub-window; its size, position, and border can be tailored to the composition. The touchscreen provides direct PTZ camera controls for focus, shutter, iris, and white balance, while the built-in joystick supports manual pan, tilt, and zoom.

The internal recorder saves MP4 files to an SD card. The built-in H.264/AVC encoder supports simultaneous streaming to two platforms; it supports RTMP/RTMPS, HLS, RTSP, SRT, and TS over TCP/UDP. Stream audio uses AAC-LC encoding.
