Datavideo HS-2850-8 is a portable HD/SD video studio with a built-in 17.3-inch monitor, 8-channel intercom and tally. It switches and routes up to 12 HD/SD input sources, depending on configuration, and provides picture-in-picture, graphic keying and audio delay for lip-sync. It is designed for multi-camera live production where operators need to monitor several sources and coordinate the crew.
Portable studio for live production
HS-2850-8 combines a video switcher, built-in monitor, intercom and tally in a portable system. Operators can monitor several video sources, route inputs and manage a multi-camera production from one position. Four belt packs with headset microphones support communication with the crew.
Monitoring and picture tools for live production
The built-in 17.3-inch HD TFT monitor lets the operator check the production at the switcher. HS-2850-8 handles HD and SD signals, and all 12 inputs can be routed repeatedly; depending on configuration, it supports up to 12 SDI and 3 HDMI inputs. Its picture tools include two PIP channels, two DSK keys, logo or clock insertion and CG-200 title creation.
Intercom and tally for crew coordination
The built-in 8-channel intercom with talkback connects the operator with the four supplied ITC-100SL belt packs. The tally light indicates which camera is live. Audio delay can be adjusted by up to eight frames to align sound with picture.
