RGBlink ASK nano 4K (1T1R)

ASK nano 4K is an intuitive and high efficiency 4K wireless presentation and collaboration system that enables any meeting participant to simply share the content from their laptop, mobile phone, or tablet on the projector or large screen wirelessly, no APP required, no set up, no messy cables, just click and share.

Two pocket-sized HDMI sticks replace the cable between a laptop and a projector: the transmitter plugs into the HDMI output of the source, the receiver into the input of a TV or projector, and a picture of up to 4K starts streaming by itself. The set comes paired from the factory, so there is nothing to install or configure.

Transmitter and receiver the size of a flash drive

The transmitter (TX) and the receiver (RX) measure 91 × 34 × 13 mm and weigh 30 g. They are powered via USB-C at 5 V / 1 A – the receiver usually from the TV’s USB port, the transmitter from the computer or any USB adapter. If the TV cannot supply enough current, simply connect the receiver to a 5 V / 1 A adapter. The button with LED on the transmitter shows the link status and pauses or resumes casting with a single press.

Presenting with no app and no setup

ASK nano 4K needs no drivers, no app, no Wi-Fi network and no IT department. Once plugged into the source, the transmitter connects to the receiver by itself and the picture appears on screen in about 15 seconds. It works with a Windows or macOS laptop or PC and with any device that has an HDMI output, such as a Blu-ray or media player. Audio embedded in HDMI is transmitted together with the picture.

Connected in seconds

The 1T1R set includes one transmitter and one receiver, paired at the factory. The receiver plugs into the HDMI input of the display and takes power from its USB port, the transmitter plugs into the HDMI output of the laptop. If another screen is needed later, up to four receivers can be paired with one transmitter – pairing starts with a long press of the button on the receiver.

From a camera to the big screen

The transmitter accepts video up to 3840 × 2160 at 24/25/30 frames per second or 1080p at 50/60 frames. Cameras with a micro or mini HDMI output connect through the included micro/mini HDMI adapter; where space around the output is tight, the supplied HDMI extension cable helps. The receiver outputs up to 4K at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2.

Stable transmission in the 5 GHz band

The built-in antenna works in the 5 GHz band (band 1 preferred, otherwise band 4) with 802.11ac MIMO technology and picks the best channel by itself after power-on. Range is up to 20 m line of sight and picture latency stays around 0.1 s. The link is protected by AES 128-bit encryption and WPA2 authentication. That is plenty for presentations and films; the system is not recommended for gaming.

Classrooms, meeting rooms and home use

The sticks fit in a pocket, so the set moves easily between rooms – to a meeting room, a classroom, a church or a live event. At home it plays a film or a workout video from the laptop on the TV without a cable across the living room. Thanks to HDCP support, protected content such as a Blu-ray player can be transmitted too; the TV must support HDCP as well.
