RGBlink ASK nano 4K (USB-C)

ASK nano 4K (USB-C version) is an intuitive and high efficiency 4K wireless presentation and collaboration system that enables any meeting participant to simply share the content from their laptop, mobile phone, or tablet on the projector or large screen wirelessly, no APP required, no set up, no messy cables, just click and share.

The transmitter plugs straight into the USB-C port of a laptop, tablet or phone – no adapter and no power supply of its own, as it draws power from the device. The receiver, an HDMI stick, stays plugged into the TV or projector, and a picture of up to 4K appears on it by itself.

USB-C transmitter and HDMI receiver

The transmitter (TX) has a fixed cable with a USB-C plug, measures 93 × 28.3 × 13 mm (cable excluded) and weighs 50 g. Its body also has a USB-C socket: when the laptop needs charging, its adapter plugs in here and power passes through to the computer (Power Delivery up to 60 W); with this reverse power supply the working time is limited to 30 minutes. The receiver (RX) measures 83 × 32 × 13 mm, weighs 30 g and is powered at 5 V / 1 A via USB-C from the TV or an adapter.

Connection: laptop, transmitter, receiver, display

The receiver plugs into the HDMI input of the display and takes power from its USB port, the transmitter into the USB-C port of the laptop. The LED on the transmitter lights red at start-up, flashes blue when ready and stays blue once the picture is live. The set is paired at the factory; if the link does not come up, a long press of the button re-pairs the transmitter with the first receiver it finds.

Laptops, tablets and phones with USB-C

The source’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode video output; Thunderbolt works too. This applies to MacBook Pro from 2016 and MacBook Air from 2018, the Dell XPS and Inspiron and HP EliteBook and Envy ranges and many Asus, Acer, Alienware, Lenovo, Razer and MSI laptops, and among tablets and phones to iPad Pro from 2021, iPad Air and iPad from 2022 and iPhone 15 and 16. Phones with a Lightning connector and cameras with USB-C in UVC mode cannot be connected.

Conference room, university and huddle space

Up to four transmitters can be connected to one receiver and switched between speakers with a single button press, so every meeting participant brings their own laptop and nobody swaps cables. The display can mirror the screen or act as an extended desktop. The system needs no network and no app, so it works the same in a conference hall, a lecture hall or a small huddle room.

4K60 receiver with HDMI 2.0

The receiver outputs up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0 and carries PCM audio in the HDMI signal together with the picture. The transmitter accepts up to 4K at 30 frames per second. The link runs in the 5 GHz band (IEEE 802.11ac), latency is approx. 0.1 s and the connection is protected by AES 128-bit encryption. Range is up to 20 m line of sight; walls and obstacles reduce it.
