One 4K camera, up to four separate shots
The Datavideo KMU-200 is a compact live production switcher that combines video switching, audio mixing, recording, and streaming. From a single 4K UHD HDMI 2.0 input, it creates up to four independently configurable HD video feeds. These can be used as virtual camera shots during interviews, small panel discussions, classes, or religious services, where they help capture multiple perspectives with a single 4K camera.
Touch Control for Virtual Cameras
The 14-inch capacitive touchscreen allows you to pan and resize the video windows using gestures. A joystick, zoom control, and backlit buttons also provide precise control. Six direct selection buttons include four virtual camera angles, the full screen view, and an additional HDMI input, allowing the operator to quickly switch between preset views.
Landscape and Portrait Modes
The KMU-200 supports standard 16:9 widescreen production as well as the 9:16 vertical format for mobile content. You can change the orientation by rotating the screen and switch production modes directly on the unit. Full HD output is suitable for both live broadcasting and recording.
Simultaneous streaming and recording
The built-in H.264 encoder streams to supported services via the RJ-45 network interface and can simultaneously save recordings in MP4 format to an SD card. The device supports the RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, HLS, and RTSP streaming protocols. An additional HDMI 1.4 input with pass-through output allows you to connect another camera or a computer display; the HDMI pass-through makes it easy to preview the feed separately.
Four-Channel Audio Mixer
The built-in mixing console processes four audio channels and audio embedded in the HDMI signal. Two XLR microphone inputs, two RCA inputs, and two unbalanced RCA outputs are available for connection to a downstream audio system.
