Product description
The Datavideo PTC-285NDI is a professional 4K PTZ camera for live production, lectures, conferences and broadcasting. Its 1/2.8-inch Sony CMOS sensor and 12x optical, 16x digital zoom lens capture detailed images from across a room. Automatic tracking keeps a presenter or performer in frame, while NDI|HX3, RTSP, RTMP(S) and SRT support IP video workflows for production systems and streaming platforms. The camera provides simultaneous HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI and IP output, with remote control over RS-422, DVIP, VISCA or ONVIF. PoE can simplify installation by carrying power over the network cable.
PTZ AUTO TRACKING
The Datavideo PTC-285NDI is an installation-ready 4K PTZ camera that automatically tracks a presenter or performer. Its 12× optical zoom keeps activity clear from across the room.
NDI|HX3 connects the camera to IP production, while HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI provide simultaneous local video outputs. PoE simplifies installation by carrying power over the Ethernet cable.
NDI|HX3 NETWORK WORKFLOW
The diagram shows up to four PTC-285NDI cameras connected through an Ethernet PoE switch to an NDI switcher. Their feeds can serve multiview, program output and recording on an HDR-2 recorder.
An RMC-300A controller operates the camera setup over DVIP. The switcher can then send video to a streaming service or other production equipment.
CONNECTIONS AND CONTROL
The rear panel provides HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI and Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 for IP video and PoE. A 3.5 mm input accepts microphone or line-level audio.
Control options include IR, web GUI, RS-232/RS-422, DVIP, VISCA/VISCA over IP, Pelco-D/P, ONVIF and NDI. Update firmware through the web interface or USB 2.0.
PRECISE TRACKING AND CONTROL
When several people are in the scene, select the person the camera should follow. The tracking algorithm adjusts pan, tilt and zoom speed to the subject’s movement for smoother transitions. Tracking can also be started from the included RMC-1AT IR remote.
PTZ VIEW ASSIST
The PTZ View Assist app for iOS and Android controls up to four DVIP cameras. Set and recall presets, adjust focus, white balance and iris, and monitor RTSP, SRT or NDI stream previews.
