Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K + Viltrox EF-M2 II Bundle

A set of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K digital film camera and the Viltrox EF-M2 II adapter, which connects Canon EF lenses to the MFT mount with a 0.71× reducer and about one stop more light. The camera has a 4/3 sensor at 4096 × 2160, 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO 400/3200, and records Blackmagic RAW and Apple ProRes. A full DaVinci Resolve Studio license is included with the camera. The set is supplied without a lens.

Generation 5 Color Science

With Blackmagic Camera 7.3 software or later, the camera processes images with Generation 5 Color Science: accurate skin tones and images that respond to grading in DaVinci Resolve like film.

DaVinci Resolve Studio

A full license of the software for editing, color correction, visual effects and audio post production is included.

Control from an ATEM switcher

An ATEM Mini switcher controls the camera over HDMI: iris, focus, ISO, white balance, color correction, tally and record start.

Viltrox EF-M2 II Speed Booster for Canon EF lenses

The adapter with a 0.71× optical reducer connects Canon EF lenses to the camera and shortens their focal length to 0.71×, so the field of view is wider and the image about one stop brighter. The optics have 5 elements in 4 groups; electronic contacts pass aperture, focus, EXIF and stabilization control depending on the camera and lens combination. A 1/4″ thread on the adapter supports heavier lenses and the firmware is updated via Micro USB.

At the heart of the set is a compact digital film camera with a 4/3 sensor, Blackmagic RAW and Apple ProRes recording and a full DaVinci Resolve Studio license in the box.

A professional camera in a compact body

The small, affordable body packs high end imaging and professional tools for shooting independent films, documentaries, events and sports, weddings and web shows. It fits in a backpack and works handheld or on a tripod.

4/3 sensor with 4096 × 2160 resolution

The 18.96 × 10 mm sensor with native 4096 × 2160 resolution matches the size of MFT lenses, so the crop factor is reduced and the field of view is wider. The camera records 4K DCI up to 60 fps, 4K 2.4:1 up to 75 fps, 2.8K anamorphic up to 80 fps and 2.6K and HD up to 120 fps.

13 stops and dual native ISO

With 13 stops of dynamic range, detail is retained in highlights and shadows. Dual native ISO 400 and 3200 keeps noise low from lit scenes to low light; sensitivity can be raised up to ISO 25,600.

MFT mount for existing and adapted lenses

The active Micro Four Thirds mount controls iris, focus and zoom on supported lenses and writes lens data to metadata. Use your existing MFT lens collection or fit EF, PL, C and other mount lenses from Canon, Nikon, Pentax or Leica with adapters.

Strong body and controls on the handgrip

The carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate body is strong, light and protects against accidental knocks. The handgrip carries the record, stills, ISO, white balance and shutter buttons and a scroll wheel with push; three programmable Fn buttons sit on top.

5″ touchscreen and Blackmagic OS

The large 5″ Full HD touchscreen makes it easy to frame shots, focus accurately and change camera settings. Blackmagic OS from the URSA Mini cameras shows record status, histogram, focus, audio meters and playback controls; 3D LUTs can be applied to monitoring and recording.

Buttons on the top and handgrip, the front with the lens mount, buttons next to the screen, side connections and the tripod mounting point on the bottom of the camera.

SD and CFast cards plus external disks via USB-C

The camera records to SD/UHS-II and CFast 2.0 cards or through the USB-C expansion port directly to an external disk. You then edit from the same disk, so there is no file copying and post production starts right after the shoot.

Blackmagic RAW and Apple ProRes

Blackmagic RAW stores 12-bit data and camera settings as metadata, so ISO, white balance and exposure can be changed during grading. Choose constant bitrate 3:1 to 12:1 or constant quality Q0 to Q5; for fast editing the camera also records 10-bit Apple ProRes.

Mini XLR with phantom power

The low noise built-in stereo microphone is complemented by a mini XLR input with 48V phantom power for professional microphones and a 3.5 mm stereo input that also accepts timecode. High quality internal audio recording often replaces an external recorder.

HDMI output and remote control

The full size HDMI connector sends up to 1080p60 with overlays to a monitor or switcher. The camera can be controlled via Bluetooth, USB PTP or from an ATEM switcher, where the record light turns into tally and ATEM Software Control adjusts iris, black level, color, focus, gain and shutter.

LP-E6 batteries and 12V input

The camera uses LP-E6 batteries and has a locking 2-pin 12–20V input whose nut protects the cable from being pulled out. The included power supply powers the camera and charges the battery at the same time, and the USB-C port can trickle charge the battery from power banks, phone chargers or laptops. For longer shoots the optional Blackmagic Pocket Camera Battery Grip is available.
