RGBLink TAO 1pro

The RGBlink TAO 1pro is a portable streaming studio with a 5.5-inch Full HD touchscreen. It combines a four-channel switcher for two USB (UVC) cameras and two HDMI sources, an NDI encoder and decoder, Ethernet streaming to up to four platforms at once and recording to a USB drive. It runs from USB-C power or from two optional batteries.

One tablet-sized device replaces a computer, a switcher and a preview monitor. Plug the cameras in directly, change sources with a fingertip on the screen and send the programme over the network – in the studio, in the classroom or outdoors.

An all-in-one portable studio

The TAO 1pro is a streaming device, an NDI encoder and decoder, a field monitor and a recorder in a single body. You can go live from anywhere with a network connection: plug in the cameras and link the unit to a router with an Ethernet cable.

5.5-inch touchscreen

The TFT display with 1080 × 1920 pixels, 450 cd/m² brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio is used both for preview and for control. You change sources and set up the unit with a fingertip right on the screen, without a computer or keyboard.

What you can connect

The two USB 3.0 inputs take cameras using the UVC protocol – webcams, PTZ cameras and other USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 cameras. The two HDMI 1.3 inputs accept a stills camera, a camcorder or a computer. The HDMI 2.0 output feeds a monitor or projector, the RJ45 port connects to the network and the USB 2.0 port to a drive for recording.

NDI encoder and decoder

The built-in NDI 5.0 encoder sends the picture from a USB camera or a connected switcher to the network as an NDI source – an ordinary PTZ camera becomes an NDI network camera. The NDI decoder works the other way round: it receives a stream from the network and shows it on the screen and on the HDMI output.

Encoder, switcher, monitor and recorder

You switch between the four inputs seamlessly, without dropouts. At the same time the programme is streamed to up to four live streaming platforms, sent to the HDMI output and recorded via the USB 2.0 port to a portable drive of up to 2 TB. HDCP is supported.

Fits in a backpack

The unit measures 161 × 106 × 36 mm and weighs 350 g without a battery. It fits in a backpack next to a laptop, and with the optional batteries you can stream outdoors, far from a power outlet; with a battery it weighs 882 g.

Education and training, business presentations, e-sports tournaments and sports events – wherever a multi-camera live stream has to be set up quickly and sent to streaming platforms without a computer or a technical crew.

TAO 1pro is a broadcasting streaming decoder with a 5.5-inch FHD preview display, but also a four-channel seamless video switcher for 2 USB 3.0 and 2 HDMI 1.3 inputs. It supports streaming directly via the Ethernet output, which is ready to connect to an external cloud-based router, and streaming from anywhere to everywhere.
