RGBlink TAO 1pro 2

The RGBlink TAO 1pro 2 is the second generation of the portable streaming studio with a 5.5-inch touchscreen. It switches seamlessly between two USB (UVC) cameras and two HDMI sources, works as an NDI encoder and decoder, streams to up to four platforms at once and records to a USB drive. It also has Bluetooth 5.0, a built-in speaker and battery slots for Sony NP-F970.

Switcher, preview monitor and recorder fit into one tablet-sized body. Change sources with a fingertip on the screen and send the programme over the network from anywhere with a connection – in the studio, at an event or outdoors on batteries.

An all-in-one portable studio

The TAO 1pro 2 is a streaming device, an NDI encoder and decoder, a field monitor and a recorder in a single body. Over Ethernet it streams to up to four platforms at once, such as YouTube, Twitch or Facebook, or to your own RTMP(S) server.

5.5-inch touchscreen

The TFT display with 1920 × 1080 pixels, 450 cd/m² brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio is used both for preview and for fingertip control. Picture rotation on the screen and on the HDMI output is set independently, and you can check the sound through the built-in speaker.

Bluetooth 5.0

The TAO 1pro 2 has built-in Bluetooth 5.0, so a wireless controller can be paired with it – for example a small ring remote. You can then switch from a distance and keep your hands free when working in front of the camera.

Connections

One side carries two HDMI 1.3 inputs and an HDMI 2.0 output (up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz), the top two USB 3.0 inputs for UVC cameras and a USB 2.0 port for recording to a drive of up to 2 TB. The other side has the Ethernet port, a microphone input, a line output and the USB-C power input (9 V / 2 A).

Battery slots

The back carries slots for Sony NP-F970 or Panasonic AG-VBR59MC batteries, so you can stream outdoors without a power outlet. The standard version comes without batteries; the unit weighs 350 g without a battery and 882 g with a battery.

Fits in a backpack

The unit measures 161 × 106 × 36 mm, so it fits in a backpack next to a laptop. Connect cameras and the network anywhere – at a conference, in a classroom, at a sports ground or at an e-sports tournament.
