Product description
The Nikon Z6 II is a versatile FX-format full-frame mirrorless camera with a 24.5MP sensor and dual EXPEED 6 processors. It offers continuous shooting at up to 14 fps, hybrid autofocus with eye and animal detection, 4K UHD video with N-Log and HLG output, and dual slots for CFexpress (Type B) / XQD and SD cards.
Dual EXPEED 6 processors
Two EXPEED 6 processors double the processing power for autofocus, image processing and data writing. The 24.5MP FX-format CMOS sensor with ISO 100–51,200 (expandable to 50–204,800) delivers sharp stills and video with wide dynamic range, whether you shoot photos or film.
14 fps and a larger buffer
Hybrid autofocus with 273 focus points covers a large part of the frame, and the camera shoots at up to 14 fps at full resolution with autofocus and auto exposure. The buffer holds up to 200 JPEG or 124 12-bit uncompressed RAW images in a single burst.
Made for video creators
The FX-format sensor with full-pixel readout delivers sharp 4K UHD video (30p, 60p after a free firmware update) and Full HD up to 120p. While filming you can adjust AF speed and tracking sensitivity and use eye and animal detection. The camera offers N-Log and HDR (HLG) output and, with a compatible ATOMOS recorder, ProRes RAW video export.
Z and F lenses
The camera uses NIKKOR Z-mount lenses. The FTZ mount adapter (sold separately) adds more than 300 F-mount NIKKOR lenses, from fast primes to zooms, so your existing kit stays in use.
Vertical shooting
The optional MB-N11 multi-power battery pack has controls for vertical shooting and lets you swap the battery without interrupting power to the camera.
Continuous power
The camera can be powered via USB-C and the battery charged while shooting – ideal for long recordings and interviews.
HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma)
HLG footage is ready to play on HDR displays without colour grading and preserves wide dynamic range and contrast.
Remote control and flash
With the optional WR-R11b and WR-1 wireless remote controllers you can shoot remotely or control external flash units such as the SB-5000. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect the camera to a smart device.
Dual card slots
The CFexpress (Type B) or XQD slot and the SD UHS-II slot can be used as primary and backup or for separate RAW and JPEG storage.
