Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter

The Nikon FTZ II is the second-generation mount adapter that lets you use NIKKOR F-mount lenses on Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. Approximately 360 lenses from AI type onwards work with auto exposure, and 94 AF-S, AF-P and AF-I lenses also keep autofocus. With no tripod mount, it stays clear of your fingers and of a battery pack.

F-mount lenses on Z cameras

The FTZ II adapter brings versatility to Nikon Z mirrorless cameras and lets you make full use of your collection of F-mount lenses. Image quality and AF/AE performance are equivalent to using the same lens on a digital SLR. Approximately 360 types of NIKKOR F lenses from AI type onwards support auto exposure – from fisheyes and perspective control lenses to fast primes and super telephotos. 94 types of AF-S, AF-P and AF-I lenses, as well as AF-S and AF-I teleconverters, retain full functionality including autofocus.

Dust and drip resistance

The adapter body is built from magnesium alloy, making it strong and lightweight with a durable finish. Effective sealing provides dust and drip resistance equivalent to that of the Z 9, so the adapter does not compromise the weather sealing of professional cameras and lenses. It makes a precise fit with both camera and lens.

Image stabilisation by the camera body

On a Z camera with in-body VR, lenses without their own vibration reduction get up to 5 stops of 3-axis stabilisation – for example the fast AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f/1.4E ED. Lenses that already have VR, such as the AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR, gain the added benefit of roll-axis stabilisation.

Streamlined design without a tripod mount

The FTZ II has no tripod mount of its own, leaving plenty of room for your fingers when shooting vertically – even with gloves. It accommodates wider tripod plates, the MB-N11 battery pack and the WT-7A wireless transmitter, and you can swap between Z and F lenses while the camera stays mounted on a tripod.
