The card is compatible with the Canon EOS R5, R5 Mark II, R5 C, R3 and C500, Nikon Z6 II, Z8 and Z9, Atomos Ninja TX recorders and the Blackmagic PYXIS 12K and URSA Cine 12K cameras — anywhere with a CFexpress Type B slot. CFexpress 4.0 is backward compatible: in an older slot it runs at that slot’s speed, in a new one it uses PCIe 4.0 to the full.
8K and 12K at up to 120 fps
A sustained 450 MB/s write on the 256 GB version and a sustained 3 300 MB/s read handle RAW recording in the highest profiles. Adaptive Thermal Control™ stops the card throttling on long shoots, SuperCruise™ keeps the write speed stable and RAID ECC can rebuild even severely corrupted data.
Low power, longer shoots
At a sustained 400 MB/s write the card draws around 1.25 W — less than typical CFexpress 2.0 cards — and Smartstream™ balances performance and power draw so the body lasts longer on one battery. 3,500 MB/s read through a USB4 reader moves a full card to the edit suite in minutes.
Industrial foundation
3D TLC memory, 150 TB write endurance, an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours, operation from −12 to 72 °C and storage from −40 to 85 °C — figures from the industrial storage Exascend builds on.
