The all new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, a handheld digital film camera with full 4/3 HDR sensor, dual native ISO with up to 25600 ISO for incredible low light performance as well as 13 stops of dynamic range. It also eliminates expensive external recorders, as it features a unique new USB-C Expansion Port, which allows customers to record using the internal SD/UHS-II and CFast recorders or directly to the same external disks they will use for editing and color correction. The STARTER SET is based on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and a DaVinci Resolve Studio license. The lens, cage, media, and power supply are selected during configuration based on your specific workflow; therefore, they are not listed as fixed components of the package.

The camera combines an 18.96 × 10 mm sensor, 13 EV dynamic range, and dual native ISO 400/3200 with a sensitivity of up to ISO 25,600. It records in Blackmagic RAW or Apple ProRes; 3D LUTs can be used for monitoring and saved in metadata for post-production.
A full-featured 5″ touchscreen LCD display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 provides access to exposure, histogram, focus peaking, audio, and metadata directly during shooting.
Media, Audio, and Monitoring Without Unnecessary Compromises
Slots for CFast 2.0 and SD UHS-II cards are available for internal recording; USB-C enables direct recording to an external drive. It also features an HDMI output, a mini XLR with microphone/line level switching and 48V phantom power, a 3.5mm microphone input, and a headphone output.
The active MFT mount allows you to use compatible lenses and expand your lens selection with adapters. The camera comes without a lens.
Practical Features for Independent Filming
The compact carbon composite body features an ergonomic grip with quick access to recording, photo mode, ISO, white balance, aperture, and shutter speed. Blackmagic OS uses touch gestures for settings, playback, and metadata entry; Bluetooth for remote control is also included.
4K DCI and UHD can be captured at up to 60 fps, and HD at up to 120 fps. Four built-in microphones, a mini XLR, full-size HDMI, and a lockable 12V power connector help you build a lightweight yet professionally connected rig. DaVinci Resolve Studio included in this set handles editing, color grading, VFX, and audio post-production.
