Product description
DJI RS 4 is a lightweight 3-axis stabilizer with a 3 kg payload for mirrorless cameras and lenses. It brings 2nd-gen native vertical shooting and automated axis locks, Teflon™ balancing, a joystick mode switch for zoom control and an extended tilt axis. The battery in the BG21 grip lasts up to 12 hours. It works with DJI RS accessories such as focus motors and the BG70 grip.
Lightweight gimbal for 3 kg
RS 4 carries mainstream mirrorless camera and lens setups. The tilt axis is 8.5 mm longer than on the previous generation, leaving room even for a lens with an ND filter.

Vertical without extra accessories
The redesigned horizontal plate supports 2nd-gen native vertical shooting: just release it and lock it in the vertical position. Shooting for social media becomes faster and simpler.
2nd-gen axis locks
The axes unlock on power-up and lock when powered off or asleep; locked axes have smaller gaps, so the gimbal vibrates less.
Teflon™ and fine-tuning
All three axes have a low-friction Teflon™ surface, and a knob on the tilt axis moves the camera for millimetre-precise balance.
Joystick mode switch
The joystick controls either gimbal movement or zoom: Power Zoom on PZ lenses, Clear Image Zoom or zoom with a Focus Pro Motor.
Bluetooth shutter and zoom
Dual-mode Bluetooth controls camera shutter and zoom without a cable; after the first pairing the camera reconnects automatically.
Quick vertical switch
The horizontal plate is released and locked vertically, with no extra parts and no rebalancing.
3 kg payload
The lightweight body carries mainstream mirrorless cameras with lenses and, thanks to the longer tilt axis, accessories such as ND filters.
One-handed control
The joystick mode switch, the PF/PTF/FPV mode switch and the customizable trigger are right on the grip.
BG21 and BG70 grips
The included BG21 grip lasts 12 hours, the optional BG70 up to 29.5 hours.
More information
Modes and trigger: The mode switch toggles quickly between PF, PTF and FPV; FPV can also be set to 3D Roll 360 or a custom mode. The trigger can be customized so that all three axes follow the grip while it is held.
Accessory ecosystem: RS 4 is compatible with DJI RS series accessories such as the RS BG30 grip or the RS Focus Motor (2022). The optional BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip extends runtime to up to 29.5 hours and powers the camera and accessories with up to 18 W via USB-C. The RSA port connects the RS Tethered Control Handle and third-party controllers, and the RS SDK enables custom functions.
Image transmission: The optional Ronin Image Transmitter adds high-definition live feed, remote gimbal and camera control, ActiveTrack 4.0 and Force Mobile.
Automatic screen lock: When locked, the OLED touchscreen shows the current gimbal and joystick modes at reduced brightness, preventing accidental touches and saving battery.
4th-gen RS algorithm: The stabilization algorithm balances stabilization strength with a natural feel of camera movement and greatly improves stability in vertical shooting, for example when running or at low angles.
