The SmallRig 6439 quick release mount plate with a Manfrotto-to-Arca plate is made for DJI RS series gimbals. It fits the standard Manfrotto base these gimbals use and brings a built-in Arca-Swiss base to them. A camera in a cage, on an L-bracket or on a short Arca plate then mounts straight onto the gimbal, and moving between tripod and gimbal needs no rescrewing. The lock works by hand: slide the latch to the left to lock the plate and to the right to release it. An adjustable anti-drop feature also works with ordinary Arca-Swiss quick release plates. A bottom adjustment structure allows fine positioning of the plate while balancing. The matte finish keeps reflections down and matches the gimbal body; at 135.5 g the plate barely adds to the rig. It is made of aluminium alloy and stainless steel. Always support the camera when pressing the release button, so an accidental unlock cannot let it fall.
