New firmware 1.02 for Sony ZV-E1 fixes metadata storage during video recording (shutter speed, aperture, ISO and other information was not saved in some cases), fixes incorrect JPEG display, Switch V/H AF Area function, and Auto Time Correction and Auto Area Adjustment tools in Creators' App. Last but not least, unspecified optimizations have been implemented to increase the stability of the device. Sony's new LR1 is a dedicated camera designed for aerial drone footage, suitable for both industrial and film applications. It features a 61MP FF CMOS sensor, E-mount bayonet, ultra-light and compact design (100 x 74 x 42.5 mm, 243 g), USB-C and HMDI interfaces, power and data terminal (Molex), SD/SDHC/SDXC UHS-II card slot, S Cinetone and Sony S-Log 3 modes, and H.264 recording/H.265/MPEG-4/XAVC HS/XAVC S 4:2:0 8-bit up to 3840 x 2160 23.98/25/29.97/50/59.94 fps. On sale around the end of November.

New "Monitor & Control" app for cameras Sony FX6 (FW 3.00 or later), FX3 (4.00+) a FX30 (3.00+) and mobile devices running Apple iOS (itunes.apple.com/us/app/id1643900558) or Google Android(play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.sony.playmemoriesmobile.proremote) deliver wireless monitoring, precise exposure adjustments and convenient focus control on large smartphone or tablet screens.

In addition to the new A7CII and A7CR cameras, Sony also introduced a wide-angle zoom G-Master FE 16-35 mm f/2.8 GM II for E-mount FF cameras! The lens covers focal lengths from 16mm to 35mm with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the entire zoom range and offers an upgraded optical design compared to the previous version, incl. XA (extreme aspherical) element for excellent optical resolution and high luminosity. It also offers excellent close-up performance throughout the zoom range, a minimum focusing distance of 0.22m and a maximum magnification of 0.32x. The Nano AR Coating II surface treatment effectively suppresses flare and enables clear images to be captured even in strong backlight. It also boasts a compact size (with an overall length of 111.5 mm and a weight of approximately 547 g) and is approximately 20% smaller compared to the first generation. On sale from 9/10 2023.
