The new 16.6-megapixel full-frame sensor, combined with the BIONZ XR2 processor, delivers over 15 EV of dynamic range. The result is natural transitions, preserved detail in highlights and shadows, and clear images even in low light.
Capture fast-paced action in 4K at up to 240 fps, and in the future, also in 5K at 120 fps via a firmware update. The sensor’s higher readout speed significantly reduces rolling shutter and ensures more accurate motion rendering.
Enhanced autofocus reliably tracks subjects even in challenging lighting conditions. The camera maintains precise focus even during high-speed recording, making it ideal for independent creators and professional film crews alike.
The detachable electronic viewfinder and large, four-axis tilting LCD monitor allow you to customize the camera to any shooting style—from gimbal work to large-scale production rigs.
Dedicated timecode facilitates synchronization of multiple cameras, while 32-bit floating-point audio recording via the XLR handle provides maximum headroom for audio recording without the risk of clipping.
A new high-capacity battery, more stable Wi-Fi, two USB-C ports, and support for 4K 60p live streaming enable reliable operation both in the studio and on location.
