Grass Valley at NAB 2024 launched a new update for EDIUS 11version 11.11.14138, which further increases the speed of the program (this time mainly the responsiveness of the user interface, including timeline work, handling multiple files in Mync, etc.), as well as extending support for the Sony BURANO camera, increasing compatibility with the MXF format and fixing a number of bugs. The new version is available for download at edius.net/edius_download.html.

A number of discounted promotions are also being offered to mark NAB 2024, including a reduced price on the captioner VisDOM VisTitle 3 (until April 26), a discounted acon Digital audio plug-in license upgrade (until 31 May), and finally a discounted upgrade of the effects suite ProDAD Vitascene V5 Pro (until 31 May)...

Two new EDIUS.NET podcasts report on speed optimizations in the new update and GPU acceleration, through the mouths of the developers themselves. There's also an outlook for the future, especially in terms of further planned performance improvements.

Update 11.11 for EDIUS 11 brings - in addition to fixes - a significant increase in program speed thanks to database optimizations, improved multi-camera editing features, increased compatibility with CEA-708 subtitles (2-byte encoding), faster selection of multiple clips in the Bin window, and other speed optimizations (see https://www.edius.de /downloads/release_notes/EDIUS_11.11.14054_Release_Notes.pdf for more ). March update for EDIUS 11version 11.10.13903 brought support for the new Canon XF-AVC proxy media name format, as well as a number of fixes, including now functional drag & drop media insertion into the Mync library or into EDIUS bins from Catalyst Browser, fixed media duplication in bins, more compatible PNG data import, and more. New version 11.00.13684 of the editing application EDIUS 11 has seen the return of the media used indicator in the timeline (the "green dot" for binned previews), as well as significant new hardware decoding of H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC) media via Nvidia NVDEC, as well as GPU acceleration for other native EDIUS effects (Primary Color Correction, Monotone and Median). Of course, there are also minor fixes and optimizations (e.g. faster display of bin content)... Full list of new features here, new version available for download at edius.net/edius_download.html.
