Several new additions to Sony's line-up will be announced in mid-August, including the new ECM-M1 narrow directional microphone and the second generation 70-200 mm f/4 Macro G OSS telephoto zoom. The Sony ECM-M1 is a compact directional microphone with four microphone inserts and eight directional modes including stereo and both digital and analogue interfaces (MI) for wide compatibility with cameras. The Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 Macro G OSS II lens boasts a lightweight and compact design (149mm long, 0.8kg without tripod mount) over a wide focal range with constant f/4 aperture and FF sensor coverage. It now offers, among other things, up to 20% faster autofocus speed, including more reliable tracking of moving subjects even during zooming. Pre-sales of both new products have already started, with the first deliveries in the second half of August.

Jason Hermann (sonyalphalab.com) has posted a video on YouTube an hour-long instructional video aimed at new owners of the recently launched vlogging special Sony ZV-E1 (https://www.syntex.cz/search?q=ZV-E1). He walks you through the setup and basics of using the device, right down to the optional accessories (SmallRig 4257 cage, appropriate memory cards and batteries/adapters, Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 lens, SmallRig SR-RG1 wireless grip, Sennheiser MKE-400 microphone, etc.).
