RGBlink mini-edge-4S

The RGBlink mini-edge-4S is a rugged, portable field video switcher housed in a durable flight case with a built-in 14" IPS TFT monitor, designed for professional live production, streaming, and recording. The side of the case carries four 3G-SDI inputs, four HDMI inputs, LAN and an HDMI program output.

The mini-edge-4S case is a ready-to-go mobile control room: open the lid and the 14-inch monitor and the mini-edge SDI switcher are in front of you, with cables connecting to the panel on the side of the case.

14-inch monitor in the lid

The lid of the case houses a 14-inch IPS monitor with 1920 × 1080 resolution and 220 cd/m² brightness. It shows the switcher multiview – preview, program and the individual inputs – so no external screen is needed. A hydraulic strut holds the lid open.

A mini-edge SDI switcher inside

At the heart of the case is the RGBlink mini-edge SDI switcher with four HDMI inputs, four 3G-SDI inputs, a UVC camera input and NDI | HX2. Its panel carries the program and preview button rows, a T-bar, a joystick for PTZ camera control via VISCA or NDI and the audio mix knobs. Recording goes to MP4 on a USB drive, streaming over the network or RGBlink TAO Cloud.

Connectors on the side of the case

All connections are brought out to a panel with rugged connectors: four 3G-SDI inputs (BNC), four HDMI inputs, LAN, an HDMI program output, USB ports for webcam and recording, MIC 1 and LINE IN inputs, an audio output and IP65-rated AC 100–240 V power. The MIC 2 input does not work on the mini-edge-4S version (the mini-edge SDI has one microphone input).

Built for the field

The case, made of high-strength PP plastic, measures 360 × 308 × 177 mm and has built-in air cooling for outdoor use. It suits music festivals, weddings, sports matches and other open-air events where the whole control room has to be set up and packed away quickly.

Audio capabilities include mic and line inputs, embedded HDMI audio, and balanced audio output with professional LPCM processing.

Control options include physical buttons, T-bar, software control, and cloud-based operation through RGBlink TAO Cloud. Integrated PTZ camera control via VISCA and NDI protocols allows real-time pan, tilt, zoom, and focus adjustments.
