Product description

The Datavideo HDR-60 is a desktop HD/SD video recorder that records a signal from one HD/SD-SDI input to a removable 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD. After recording, connect the drive enclosure over USB 2.0 to a PC or Mac and continue working with the MPEG-2 MXF OP1A or MOV files in a non-linear editing system. Along with SDI loop-through, the HDR-60 provides HDMI and SDI outputs, eight-channel embedded audio, timecode, and Black Burst/Tri-level genlock synchronization.

The Datavideo HDR-60 records SD and HD video from one HD/SD-SDI input to a removable 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD. Its compact desktop chassis suits studio and location production. When recording is complete, remove the drive enclosure and connect it to a computer over USB 2.0.

Removable media for editing and playback

The HDR-60 records to a removable drive enclosure. It accepts a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD with a maximum capacity of 1 TB; a hard drive is not included. After recording, eject the enclosure and connect it by USB 2.0 to a PC or Mac for work in a non-linear editing system.

Recordings use the NTFS file system and are saved as MXF OP1A or MOV files. MPEG-2 recording profiles provide a choice of bit rates and sampling options for the project.

SDI loop-through, video outputs and synchronization

The HD/SD-SDI input accepts the source signal and provides an SDI loop-through output for monitoring. The recorder also has HDMI and a separate SDI output; SDI and HDMI carry embedded audio with up to eight channels.

For synchronization with studio equipment, the HDR-60 provides genlock input and loop-through for Black Burst or Tri-level, plus timecode input and output. Remote control is available over RS-232/422 and GPI.
