Panasonic unveiled plans to launch two new lenses in the LUMIX S series (a zoom lens with a range of approx. 30-70mm and a model with a range of approx. 100-400mm), as well as LIDAR-based AF technology for LUMIX S devices in collaboration with DJI. The collaboration with DJI includes expanded support for the ActiveTrack function of the RS 2/RSC 2/RS 3 stabilizers (now on the S5M2/S5M2X) and planned support for DJI LiDAR Range Finder (and DJI RS 3 Pro) on S1H/BS1H/S5M2/S5M2X and GH5M2/GH6 models respectively. The combination of precision laser rangefinder and stabilizer will communicate directly with AF lenses without an additional side focus adapter and can be used for low light shooting, for example. New firmware from both companies is expected during September and October.

A reminder that the pre-sale of the new DZOFilm Tango professional zooms ends in a few days (20.8.)! The two new lenses offer 18-90mm and 65-280mm T2.9 ranges respectively, PL mount, Super 35 sensor coverage and compatibility with the Movcam servo unit (to be sold separately).
