Tilta Full Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark III - Black

The Tilta Full Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark III is a full-perimeter cage for the Canon R6 Mark III and the Canon R5 Mark II. It weighs 152 grams, locks onto the body at three points — underneath and on both sides — and its silicone padding absorbs shock. A built-in Arca-Swiss bottom plate, a cold shoe, a pre-installed 3/8″-16 to 1/4″-20 adapter and a magnetic combined key in the base make it a finished foundation for a rig.

The full cage holds the Canon R6 Mark III at three points — underneath and on both flanks — so the body cannot twist even hanging off a gimbal. It still weighs only 152 grams, because it is milled from aluminium alloy with SUS304 steel only where screws bite. The cage is made for two bodies at once: it fits the Canon R6 Mark III and the Canon R5 Mark II.

Fits two bodies

The cage is machined for the Canon R6 Mark III and fits the Canon R5 Mark II as well. It follows the outline of the body, so nothing overhangs and no control is covered.

One clamp, both cables

The cable clamp holds a USB-C cable 5 to 8 mm across and an HDMI cable 6.5 to 12 mm across. The thumb screws tighten by hand, so a cable can be swapped without tools.

A magnetic tool in the cage

A combined tool — a flat-head screwdriver and an Allen key in one — is held by a magnet in the bottom plate of the cage. It pulls out from underneath in one move, ready to tighten the mounting screw.

Silicone padding against wear

Silicone padding sits between the cage and the camera body. It absorbs shock and, above all, keeps the metal from wearing the finish where the two meet.

Ports and battery stay open

The cut-outs are laid out so that every port, the battery door and the memory card slots stay reachable. The battery can be swapped without taking the cage off.

On top there is a cold shoe for a monitor, a microphone or a light, and the top plate ships with a 3/8″-16 to 1/4″-20 adapter already screwed in. Handles with either a 3/8″ or a 1/4″ thread therefore fit without hunting for a reducer; unscrew the adapter when you need the coarser thread.

The bottom plate is an Arca-Swiss profile in itself, so the cage sits on a DJI gimbal, a tripod head or Tilta’s height-adjustable 15mm LWS baseplate without another quick release plate. Beside it is a 1/4″-20 locating point that stops the cage from turning.
