Tilta Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark III Lightweight Kit - Black

The Tilta Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark III Lightweight Kit pairs a full-perimeter cage for the Canon R6 Mark III and Canon R5 Mark II with the Tilta Xeno top handle. The cage weighs 152 grams, protects the body with silicone padding and offers a cold shoe, 1/4″-20 threads with locating points and a built-in Arca-Swiss bottom plate. The handle screws to the top plate and adds another cold shoe and threads for a monitor or a microphone.

The Lightweight Kit is the TA-T99-FCC-B full cage plus the Tilta Xeno top handle — exactly what it takes to shoot handheld with the R6 Mark III all day. The cage holds the body at three points and leaves ports and battery free; the handle screws to the top plate through a 1/4″-20 thread with locating pins, so it will not twist under load.

Fits two bodies

The cage is machined for the Canon R6 Mark III and fits the Canon R5 Mark II as well. It follows the outline of the body, so nothing overhangs and no control is covered.

One clamp, both cables

The cable clamp holds a USB-C cable 5 to 8 mm across and an HDMI cable 6.5 to 12 mm across. The thumb screws tighten by hand, so a cable can be swapped without tools.

A magnetic tool in the cage

A combined tool — a flat-head screwdriver and an Allen key in one — is held by a magnet in the bottom plate of the cage. It pulls out from underneath in one move, ready to tighten the mounting screw.

Silicone padding against wear

Silicone padding sits between the cage and the camera body. It absorbs shock and, above all, keeps the metal from wearing the finish where the two meet.

Ports and battery stay open

The cut-outs are laid out so that every port, the battery door and the memory card slots stay reachable. The battery can be swapped without taking the cage off.

The Tilta Xeno handle has its own cold shoe and 1/4″-20 threads, so a monitor or a microphone does not have to move onto the cage and stays above the centre of gravity. The top plate of the cage ships with a 3/8″-16 to 1/4″-20 adapter, so the handle can be swapped for another without hunting for a reducer.

The cage is the same one sold on its own as the TA-T99-FCC-B: three-point locking, silicone padding, a cable clamp for USB-C and HDMI, and an Arca-Swiss bottom plate for DJI gimbals and for Tilta’s height-adjustable 15mm LWS baseplate.
