Tilta Full Camera Cage for Canon R6 V - Black

The Tilta Full Camera Cage is an aluminum alloy full cage for the Canon EOS R6 V: it holds the body at three points, leaves every control and port accessible, and offers 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and a cold shoe. The detachable Arca-Swiss quick release plate drops straight into DJI gimbals, and the right-hand section can be removed to turn it into a half cage. An HDMI cable clamp is included.

The Tilta Full Camera Cage for Canon R6 V is a protective mounting frame cut to the Canon EOS R6 V body. It bolts to the camera at three points so nothing moves, while leaving every control, port door and the battery compartment free. It is the foundation for a complete rig — from a lightweight gimbal build to a full setup with handles, monitor and power.

Mounting points: threads, NATO rails and cold shoe

Around the cage sit 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins that stop accessories from twisting. There is a NATO rail on top and on the side for snapping on handles, and a cold shoe on the top plate for a microphone or light. Monitor, microphone, light, wireless transmitter and handles all attach to the body without a single extra adapter.

Full cage or half cage

The cage is modular: the right-hand section by the grip unscrews and the full cage becomes a half cage. You give up a few mounting points, but the rig gets lighter and narrower — exactly what a gimbal or handheld shooting needs, where every gram counts. Going back to the full cage takes the same key that comes in the box.

Bi-directional Arca-Swiss quick release plate

The bottom plate of the cage is an Arca-Swiss quick release plate with 1/4"-20 threads and locating pins, and it is bi-directional: it fits DJI gimbal receivers as well as common Arca-Swiss standard heads and baseplates. The camera moves from tripod to gimbal in seconds without a screwdriver. The plate is detachable, so it can be replaced with a different baseplate.

Three points of contact, zero play

The cage attaches to the camera body at three points: a screw in the bottom thread, a screw on the right side of the body and a lock in the left strap lug. The body will not shift or rotate in the cage even with a monitor, microphone and handles hanging off it. All three points are tightened with the included key — one end slotted, the other Allen.

Unobstructed access to controls and ports

The cage is machined precisely to the R6 V body: buttons, dials, articulating screen and battery door stay reachable, the port doors on the left open, and HDMI, USB-C, microphone and headphone cables plug in without obstruction. The camera operates exactly as it does without a cage — just with a rigid frame and room for accessories around it.

Label area for the serial number

The bottom plate carries a white writing area: note the body serial number or camera name and read it without removing the cage when renting out gear or working with several bodies. A small detail that rental houses, schools and multi-camera productions appreciate at every inventory and every time the right body has to be picked quickly.

HDMI cable clamp included

An HDMI cable clamp comes in the box: it screws to the left side of the cage by the ports and holds the cable so it cannot pull out handheld or on a gimbal, keeping the signal to an external recorder or monitor alive. For vertical shooting, two handles can be screwed into the 1/4"-20 threads on both sides of the cage for a firm two-handed hold.
