Tilta Half Camera Cage for Canon R6 V - Black

The Tilta Half Camera Cage is a half cage for the Canon EOS R6 V: it protects the left side and bottom of the body, holds at three points and leaves controls and ports free. It offers 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, a NATO rail and a cold shoe, and is lighter and narrower than the full cage — ideal for gimbal and handheld work. Add the right-hand section and it becomes a full cage.

The Tilta Half Camera Cage for Canon R6 V is the lightweight version of the cage for the Canon EOS R6 V. It wraps the body from the left and below and leaves the right side with the grip bare, so the camera stays narrow and light — exactly what gimbal and handheld shooting call for. Everything essential is still there: threads with locating pins, NATO rail, cold shoe and three points of contact.

A half cage that can be built up

The Tilta half cage and full cage for the R6 V are one system: the half cage lacks the right-hand section by the grip, which makes it lighter and narrower. If you later need more mounting points, add the right-hand section (not included with the cage) and you have the full cage. Anyone shooting mostly on a gimbal stays with the half cage — it balances more easily and takes up less room.

Mounting points on the left and on top

Even without the right-hand section the cage has plenty of room for accessories: 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with anti-twist locating pins on the left side and on the bottom plate, a NATO rail on the left side for a handle and a cold shoe on the top plate for a microphone or light. Monitor, microphone and wireless transmitter attach directly, without adapters.

Unobstructed access to controls and ports

The cage is machined precisely to the R6 V body: buttons, dials, articulating screen and battery door stay reachable, the port doors on the left open, and HDMI, USB-C, microphone and headphone cables plug in without obstruction. The camera operates exactly as it does without a cage — just with a rigid frame and room for accessories around it.

Bottom plate and three points of contact

The bottom plate carries 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins for a tripod plate or baseplate and holds the body with the bottom screw; the other two points are the screw on the right side of the body and the lock in the left strap lug, so the camera cannot rotate in the cage. The detachable Arca-Swiss quick release plate from the full cage is optional on the half cage.

Label area for the serial number

The bottom plate carries a white writing area: note the body serial number or camera name and read it without removing the cage when renting out gear or working with several bodies. A small detail that rental houses, schools and multi-camera productions appreciate at every inventory and every time the right body has to be picked quickly.
