Tilta Half Camera Cage for Sony Alpha 7 V Lightweight Kit - Black

A lightweight kit for the Sony α7 V, α7 IV and α7R V: the Tilta half cage and a compact top handle on an 18 mm NATO rail. The handle slides along the rail to wherever you need it and comes off without tools. The half cage leaves the grip free and adds a cold shoe and 1/4″-20 threads; the Arca-Swiss bottom plate works both ways. The ideal compromise between protection and the smallest possible rig.

The Lightweight Kit with the half cage combines the Half Camera Cage for the Sony Alpha 7 V with a compact top handle on a NATO rail. It is the smallest possible step from a bare camera to a rig you can carry by the handle, hang a microphone or light on, and take apart just as quickly.

One cage, three bodies

The cage fits the Sony α7 V, α7 IV and α7R V. If you switch between two bodies, you only need one cage.

Adjustable slider

The mount can be fine-tuned along the body, so the cage sits firmly on every supported model.

Dual-direction Arca-Swiss plate

The bottom plate works both ways: on a gimbal or a tripod you simply slide it in and fine-tune the position.

Accessories attach via the cold shoe and 1/4″-20 threads with locating points; the full cage adds 3/8″-16 threads. A microphone, light, monitor or recorder therefore sits without twisting.

The cage follows the shape of the body and leaves the buttons, the battery compartment and the memory cards freely accessible. It does not get in the way of the OEM flash, the microphone handle or lens adapters — the camera still handles the way you are used to.

The cage has slots for a wrist strap and a shoulder strap, a magnetic key (Allen and flathead in one) is recessed into the bottom plate, and there is a 3/8″-16 thread with a fitted adapter to 1/4″-20.

The Tilta Compact NATO Top Handle mounts on the supplied 18 mm NATO rail, so you slide the handle exactly where you need it and take it off in one movement.
