Desview S21-HB 21.5" Broadcast Monitor

The Desview S21-HB is a 21.5-inch Full HD 1920 × 1080 broadcast monitor in a high-brightness version with 1000 cd/m², so the picture stays readable in daylight. It supports HDR and offers built-in LUTs and multiview for up to four sources. It has four HDMI inputs and two 3G-SDI inputs with outputs, stands on two feet on a desk and runs on mains power or a V-mount battery.

The HB (high brightness) version suits any place where ambient light falls on the screen: next to a window, in a brightly lit studio or in a broadcast tent.

1000 cd/m² and four pictures at once

The 1920 × 1080 panel with 1000 cd/m² brightness and 1000:1 contrast shows four sources simultaneously in 4P mode. Below the screen are direct input selection buttons, function buttons and a menu knob.

Mains and battery power

The back carries a V-mount battery plate, an AC mains socket and a 4-pin XLR power connector. Side handles and a grip on top make it easier to carry.

Four HDMI and two 3G-SDI

Next to the power connectors are four HDMI inputs, an HDMI output and a USB port, with BNC connectors for two 3G-SDI inputs and one output below.

HDR and built-in LUTs

The monitor displays HDR and offers the EBU, SMPTE-C, Rec.709 and DCI-P3 color spaces.

Four HDMI, two 3G-SDI and multiview

The monitor accepts four HDMI and two 3G-SDI sources, passes a signal on from each interface and shows them in 1P, 2P, PIP and 4P modes.

False color and picture border

The false color function shows how brightness is distributed in the picture. In multi-picture modes the color of the picture border can be set.
