Desview S17-HDR 17,3" Desktop Broadcast Monitor

The Desview S17-HDR is a 17.3-inch desktop broadcast monitor with 4K UHD 3840 × 2160 resolution, HDR support and a Quad Split multiview mode that shows up to four sources at once. It accepts signals from four HDMI inputs and two 3G-SDI inputs and passes the picture on through HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs. It runs on mains power, via 4-pin XLR or from a V-mount battery on the back.

Up to four sources on one screen

In multiview mode the monitor shows one source full screen, two side by side or stacked, picture-in-picture (PIP) or four sources at once (Quad Split). On the 17.3-inch 3840 × 2160 screen the operator can watch several cameras at the same time without extra monitors.

Four HDMI, two 3G-SDI

The back panel carries four HDMI inputs and an HDMI output, two 3G-SDI inputs on BNC connectors and a 3G-SDI output. Each input has its own button on the front panel. A USB port and a tally connector complete the connection to the control room.

Mains and battery power

The monitor has an AC 110–240 V mains input, a 12–24 V DC input on a 4-pin XLR connector and a V-mount plate for battery power. Power consumption is at most 21.6 W. Thanks to the V-mount plate the monitor can be used where there is no power outlet.

Front-panel control

Below the screen are direct selection buttons for inputs HDMI 1–4 and SDI 1–2, five function buttons F1–F5, an EXIT button and a MENU knob. A headphone output sits next to the power switch. The monitor stands on two feet and has two handles and a carrying grip on the back.
