Desview OL7S

Everything that matters on one screen

The OL7S combines a 1200-nit OLED display, 10-bit colour depth and 99.8% DCI-P3 coverage with ΔE ≤ 1 colour accuracy. The redesigned user interface keeps the monitoring tools at hand in a bar along the bottom of the image, and the monitor offers SDI, HDMI 2.0, USB-C and LEMO for power.

OLED display: true black

Every OLED pixel emits its own light and switches off completely in dark areas of the image. Unlike a backlit LCD, there is no halo around bright objects and black never turns grey – which is what you need when judging exposure in night and high-contrast shots.

10-bit colour depth

The 10-bit panel shows 1.07 billion shades instead of the 16.7 million of an 8-bit one. Smooth gradients in skies or skin tones do not break up into bands, so the monitor shows the real tonality of your footage – which matters most when shooting in a log profile.

99.8% DCI-P3 gamut and ΔE ≤ 1 accuracy

The monitor covers 99.8% of the DCI-P3 colour space and 93.6% of BT.2020 with a colour deviation of ΔE ≤ 1. The panel also shows the colorimeter report – average gamma 2.479 and a measured peak brightness of over 1260 nits.

100,000:1 contrast ratio

The high OLED contrast holds detail in both the shadows and the highlights of the same shot. Compared with a typical LCD at around 1,000:1, you can see detail in a night sky as clearly as in the bright parts of the scene.

HDMI 2.0 up to 4K 60p

The OL7S accepts signals over HDMI 2.0 up to 4096 × 2160 at 60p and additionally over 3G-SDI. Both inputs have their own output, so you can pass the signal on to a recorder, the control room or a wireless transmitter.

Fast response without blur

OLED pixels switch many times faster than LCD liquid crystals. When panning or following a fast-moving subject, the image does not lag or smear, which makes it easier to judge focus.

1200 nits for outdoor work

With a brightness of 1200 nits the display stays readable even in harsh sunlight, so you can check exposure and focus when shooting outdoors – on a rig, a gimbal or handheld.

Aluminium alloy housing

The slim aluminium alloy housing doubles as a heat sink: heat from the electronics is spread over the whole housing along several paths. The OL7S measures 181 × 108 × 30 mm and weighs 520 g.

Power from NP-F, LEMO or USB-C

The back carries two battery slots for NP-F series batteries. The monitor can also be powered through the LEMO connector (7–26 V) – a D-TAP to two-pin LEMO cable is included – or via USB-C with PD 2.0/3.0, for example from a power bank.

Custom 3D LUTs and programmable buttons

Load your own 3D LUTs with 65 × 65 × 65 precision and see straight away how the shot will look after grading. Assign frequently used functions to the programmable buttons F1–F3 on the top edge, while the 3G-SDI input and output connect the OL7S to professional cameras and the control room.

For exposure, focus and framing the monitor offers the following tools:
