AVMATRIX Shark S4 is a compact four-channel switcher for live production and streaming. It combines two HDMI and two 3G-SDI inputs, three configurable HDMI outputs, USB-C output, a hardware control panel with T-bar, network streaming and recording to an SD card or USB drive.
Two HDMI and two 3G-SDI inputs accept multiple formats up to 1080p60. The switcher detects the incoming signal automatically and can scale the output to the selected production format.
Three HDMI outputs are assigned as two program feeds and one Multiview by default. Each can also be configured as an AUX carrying an input, preview, program, clean PGM, colour bars or Multiview.
Shark S4 streams directly through the LAN port using RTMP, RTMPS and SRT. The USB-C output operates as a UVC/UAC device for OBS, vMix, Zoom, Teams and other software without a special driver.
The production can be recorded to an SD card or USB drive. The unit supports 2–32Mbps bitrate, CBR/VBR rate control, selectable file segment duration and FAT32, exFAT and NTFS file systems.
Built-in Luma Key, Chroma Key, two PIP layers, POP, downstream key and logo overlay make it possible to build a complete programme without an external graphics system. The media library provides 39 preset patterns and space for 16 imported and 16 captured images.
The final mix can include embedded audio from two HDMI and two SDI inputs plus two analogue stereo MIC/Line inputs. Audio Follow Video and adjustable 0–500ms delay help keep sound and pictures synchronised.
Dedicated PGM and PVW buttons, T-bar, CUT, AUTO, FTB, Mute, Still and two transition-speed presets give the operator immediate control. Production status, audio meters, previews and technical information are available on an external Multiview monitor.
The AvMatrix Shark S4 is a professional 4-channel production switcher with an integrated 10.1" display that combines SDI and HDMI inputs and offers advanced features such as RTMP streaming and recording. To fully utilize its potential in professional production, it is recommended to supplement it with compatible tally systems, signal distribution converters, and capture cards for recording to a PC.
Tally and Communication - Accessories for signaling the status of cameras connected to the switcher via the GPIO port.
Video Converters and Distribution - Devices for converting, extending, and splitting SDI and HDMI signals compatible with control room inputs and outputs.
Video Capture and Editing - External and internal cards for digitizing PGM output from the control room to a computer for further processing or streaming.
Cameras and Signal Sources - PTZ cameras and decoders fully compatible with the SDI and HDMI interfaces of the Shark S4 production console.
Accessories - Mechanical accessories for mounting and installing AvMatrix components.
