Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2

ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 is a compact live switcher for eight HDMI cameras with ISO recording of all inputs, built-in streaming, multiview and Thunderbolt for simultaneous recording and playback, for example for replay in DaVinci Resolve. It offers 10G Ethernet for network access to storage, Fairlight audio with XLR and MADI inputs and three independently routable HDMI outputs.

A live studio with eight cameras and instant replay

ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 combines eight HDMI inputs, a streaming engine, multiview, ISO recording and Thunderbolt for simultaneous capture and playback. Three independently routable HDMI outputs and two USB-C webcam outputs give the studio flexible signal distribution.

Professional Fairlight audio

A mixer for 26 stereo inputs – eight HDMI, 16 MADI pairs, XLR and Thunderbolt – with 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, expander and noise gate.

2× USB-C webcam

Program or multiview goes to the computer as a 720p or 1080p webcam at the program frame rate.

Up to 8 streaming sources

Besides HDMI, the switcher also accepts RTMP/SRT streams from compatible Blackmagic cameras over a local network or the internet.

The most advanced control panel in the range

The source and program buttons are the same type as on ATEM Advanced Panels. The panel offers a transition fader, six macro buttons, replay controls, control of four upstream and two downstream keyers and the outputs, knobs with multi function buttons for audio and live audio meters.

Thunderbolt for recording and playback

A single Thunderbolt cable provides fill and key playback, live input capture to the computer, Ethernet access to the CFexpress card and power. With the Desktop Video SDK you can write your own software that processes the video and returns it to the switcher in real time.

Replay in DaVinci Resolve

DaVinci Resolve shows the live switcher input; pressing the Point of Interest (POI) button switches to replay, you select cameras and the shot, optionally with optical slow motion, and send it back to air.

Multiview with up to 16 views

The multiview can be set to 16, 13, 10, 7 or 4 views: program, preview, eight HDMI inputs, SuperSource, clean feed, media player, streaming and recording status and audio meters. It can be routed to any of the three HDMI outputs, to USB-C or Thunderbolt.

Shared storage over 10G Ethernet

Over 10G Ethernet the CFexpress card or an external USB disk becomes a shared network disk. CFexpress cards keep up with recording several ISO files at once while editors, colorists, VFX artists and audio engineers work on their own computers.

Virtual sets and SuperSource

Four upstream keyers with ATEM Advanced Chroma Key let you build a virtual set for up to four cameras. SuperSource layers four extra DVE layers over a custom background and appears to the switcher as a separate source – for example for several guests side by side.

Microphones via XLR and MADI

Two balanced XLR combo inputs with 48V phantom power accept professional microphones and the MADI input (BNC) adds another 32 channels. For a podcast studio, ATEM Microphone Converter connects via MADI: each converter adds four analog inputs with phantom power and units can be daisy chained.

The rear has 12V power, the CFexpress slot, 1G and 10G Ethernet, two USB-C ports, Thunderbolt, three HDMI outputs, eight HDMI inputs, a MADI input, two XLR combo inputs and a 6.35mm headphone output.
