This small update to Grass Valley EDIUS X version 10.34.10198 includes minor improvements and fixes to a couple of bugs related to Bin file conversion, and application shutdown. For a full list of fixes, continue here. The update is available on edius.net.

This software update adds support for the new Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro and Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2. This update also adds updates for Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro and Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus models, including an updated user interface, support for writing motion sensor data to Blackmagic RAW recordings as well as retaining presets and LUTs for future updates. In addition, it adds the ability to map the L-Fn button on MFT lenses, and improves lens and auto focus performance.

The latest of Blackmagic Design's newly introduced products is the A/D converter ATEM Microphone Converter which adds additional microphone/line audio inputs to compatible ATEM switchers (e.g. ATEM Television Studio HD8). It connects via a MADI (BNC) interface and offers superior audio performance, including a self-noise level of -129 dBV, a dynamic range of 131 dB(A), very low distortion of 0.002% and high parameter uniformity across all channels. Also of interest is the HDMI monitoring output for previewing signal levels/waveforms.

Blackmagic Design are launching two new studio cameras: Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 and Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro! The former is an upgraded variant of the existing 4K Pro model now with streaming functionality, the 6K Pro version offers an additional 6K sensor (output/record at resolutions up to 6144x3456/50 and 6144x2560/60 respectively), EF mount and motorized ND2/4/6 filters. Thanks to the streaming function, the cameras can be connected to the switchers from virtually anywhere and not only receive streaming HD H.264 video, but also control them remotely and thus realize remote camera stations with central switchers within the IP network. Newly introduced products ATEM Television Studio HD8 a HD8 ISO from Blackmagic Design are complete switcher workstations for creating live shows in HD using up to eight cameras with 3G-SDI interfaces. The switchers integrate a control panel as well as features for streaming, communication with camera stations and video recording (to external USB drive or optional internal M.2). The "ISO" version also creates a project/timeline for DaVinci Resolve to facilitate subsequent post-production of shows, and also supports IP video (H.264) from Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2, Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 and Studio Camera 6K Pro cameras.
