RGBlink MSP 314-4

The RGBlink MSP 314-4 is a compact fiber-optic DVI extender set (TX & RX) that transmits high-resolution video up to 2000 meters over single-mode fiber. Supporting WUXGA, HDMI 1.4 (4Kx2K@30Hz), EDID storage, and EMI resistance, it is perfect for portable AV setups, conference rooms, and professional installations requiring long-distance, reliable DVI extension.

The MSP 314-4 is a compact transmitter and receiver set that plugs straight into the DVI connectors of the source and the display. It carries a picture of up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz over optical fibre for up to 2 km, with no rack and no extra cabling.

Transmitter and receiver right in the DVI connector

Both modules plug straight into the DVI output of the source and the DVI input of the display, so they need no rack or shelf space. At the press of a button the transmitter stores the display's EDID, and both parts are powered from the supplied 5 V adapters. The set also carries 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz (HDMI 1.4 via an adapter).

Fibre up to 2 km

Each module has one LC connector and a 5 V power connector. The transmitter converts four TMDS pairs into a 10.2 Gb/s serial signal and sends it with a 1310 nm laser; over single-mode fibre it reaches 2 km. Multimode fibre must be OM3 or better. The metal housing limits electromagnetic interference.
