RGBlink MSP 314-2

The RGBlink MSP 314-2 is a compact DVI fiber extender that transmits high-definition video signals over long distances using multi-mode or single-mode fiber. Supporting VESA resolutions up to WUXGA (1920×1200) and SMPTE formats, it is ideal for extending DVI signals up to 300 m on multi-mode fiber or 2000 m on single-mode fiber for professional AV installations and control rooms.

The MSP 314-2 is a compact transmitter and receiver set that plugs straight into the DVI connectors of the source and the display. It carries a picture of up to 2560 × 816 at 60 Hz over optical fibre for up to 2 km, with no rack and no extra cabling.

Transmitter and receiver right in the DVI connector

Both modules plug straight into the DVI output of the source and the DVI input of the display, so they need no rack or shelf space. At the press of a button the transmitter stores the display's EDID, and both parts are powered from the supplied 5 V adapters. The set carries VESA up to 2560 × 816 and SMPTE formats up to 1080p60.

Fibre up to 2 km

Each module has two LC connectors and a 5 V power connector. A built-in WDM wave plate and 1310/1550 nm laser diodes carry the signal over two single-mode fibres up to 2 km (20 km to order) and over multimode fibre up to 300 m.
