Hollyland Pyro 5 4K is a 5.5″ monitor with 1500-nit brightness that works as both a transmitter and a receiver. It transmits 4K30 with around 60 ms latency up to 400 m, and in Broadcast Mode one transmitter serves up to four receivers. It controls the camera by touch, records proxy files with timecode to an SD card and streams via RTMP.

Pyro 5 4K combines a 5.5″ touchscreen with dual-band 4K30 transmission and fits into the entire Pyro ecosystem.

Camera control, proxy recording to SD card, RTMP streaming and image analysis tools in a single device.
HDMI 1.4b and 3G-SDI inputs with HDMI loop-out in transmitter mode, HDMI 1.4b output in receiver mode.
NP-F battery (6–16 V) or 10–18 V DC supply.
In Broadcast Mode one transmitter connects with up to four receivers, with intelligent camera view switching and auto frequency hopping, at up to 200 m line of sight or 100 m back-to-back. One-to-four transmission also works with Broadcast Mode off, with a range of up to 400 m line of sight and 150 m back-to-back.

The 5.5″ display with 1920 × 1080 resolution, 1500-nit brightness and Rec.709 coverage stays readable even in direct sunlight.

Transmission in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands adapts to the environment by itself. At startup the system scans and locks onto the best channel; channels can also be scanned and switched manually on the receiver with signal strength indicators. HD Mode offers a 12 Mbps bitrate with latency from 75 ms, Smooth Mode latency from 60 ms for long distances.

Set ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance and focus mode from the touchscreen and trigger camera focus with a tap.

Proxy files are recorded directly to an SD card while monitoring, organized automatically into folders and carry timecode synced with the camera.

HDMI input with loop-out and a 3G-SDI input fit Pyro 5 4K into most production setups. There is also a 3.5 mm headphone output, USB-C (USB 2.0 OTG) and an SD card slot.

Waveform, vectorscope, histogram, focus assist, zebra, false color, 3D LUT import from a USB drive, aspect markers, crosshatch, anamorphic de-squeeze, image flip, 1–4× zoom and image overlay. Lock Pairing keeps each receiver tied to its transmitter when several systems run side by side, and RTMP streaming runs via the HollyView app and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi modem.
