The X-E5 is the first camera in the series to feature powerful five-axis sensor stabilization(IBIS), offering an efficiency of up to 7.0 stops in the center of the image and 6.0 stops at the edges. This makes the camera suitable for everyday carry and always ready for the most demanding scenarios. For the first time in the X series, the camera features a top panel made entirely of machined aluminum.

Combining sharp, straight edges with carefully rounded surfaces, the top panel has a smooth metallic texture and offers a high sense of rigidity, giving a premium feel when using the camera. The new "Classic Display" mode provides a clear viewfinder image with key information at the bottom of the frame. Combined with a body design that allows one-handed operation of the dials and lever, you can immerse yourself in image making with the camera at your eye.

A camera design that embodies a classic yet highly sophisticated style

For the first time in the X series, the top panel is made from a single piece of metal. The distinctive bevelled design on the back of the top panel highlights the metallic texture while enhancing the operation of the controls, ensuring a seamless and comfortable shooting experience.

The newly designed film simulation dial features a precision-cut pointer window that minimizes the gap between the dial and the body, ensuring accurate processing. In addition,
you can individually set the film simulation and image quality to FS1-FS3, allowing you to save your own recipes under the FS dial.

The viewfinder and diopter adjustment dial are flush with the body. By refining the vertical and horizontal elements, the design retains the essence of a traditional camera while working with attention to detail.

A stylish shoulder strap is included to complement the camera's sophisticated design.

Features and handling that immerse you in the world through the viewfinder

The X-E5 features a retro and minimalist mode called "Classic Display" created for the electronic viewfinder, inspired by old film cameras. The information in the EVF (electronic viewfinder) has been simplified as much as possible. Combined with a classic body design that allows you to operate the dials and lever with one hand, you can immerse yourself in image making with the camera to your eye.

The X-E5 is equipped with a new Surround View function that displays the area outside the shooting range as a semi-transparent or line-bounded cutout, depending on the aspect ratio. Looking into the viewfinder, users can easily switch between the two modes using the lever, providing a shooting experience similar to OVF (viewfinder), although it is an EVF (electronic viewfinder).

A control lever is located on the front of the camera, offering customizable functions such as switching VIEW MODE, changing the aspect ratio, or adjusting the digital teleconverter magnification. This control provides exceptional maneuverability and versatility.

Powerful in-body image stabilization and advanced features to expand creative possibilities

The accuracy of gyro sensor detection has been improved, and we've also implemented a new algorithm that increases the effectiveness of optical sensor stabilization (IBIS) when the camera shakes. With the latest technology, the five-axis stabilization achieves compensation of up to 7.0 steps in the center and 6.0 steps at its edges.

The camera features a digital teleconverter function that allows for 1.4x and 2.0x zoom. It is equipped with a high-resolution "X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HR" sensor that enables digital
zooming with minimal loss of image quality, making the X-E5 a versatile camera for a wide range of shooting situations.

The rear flip-up display can be flipped up and forward up to 180 degrees, allowing for a variety of compositions. It allows you to shoot from the ground and from above, and is also suitable for selfies.

The X-E5 can shoot at 6.2K/30P resolution. It features AF tracking during video recording to ensure high quality and smooth footage.

High-performance sensor and high-speed image processor for high image quality and powerful autofocus

maintaining low digital noise.

The improved pixel structure allows more light to be effectively captured, so ISO 125 can be used as the base sensitivity, which was the extended sensitivity of the previous model. In addition, the
the electronic shutter can be set to a fastest time of 1/180000s, allowing highly precise control of exposure time.

The X-E5 is equipped with AI-based automatic subject detection, which was developed using deep learning technology. The object detection can recognize animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes, trains insects and drones.

The latest predictive autofocus algorithm ensures high performance tracking of moving objects and high AF accuracy, even in low-contrast environments.
