Anew "SL-2"add-onfor the 833, 888 and Scorpio mixers/recordershas been added to the Sound Devices portfolio. It is the first product in an upcoming line of SuperSlot-based add-ons and brings support for wireless, multi-channel audio (four channels/slot). It supports wireless receivers with UniSlot and SuperSlot interfaces from manufacturers such as Audio Ltd, Lectrosonics, Wisycom and Sennheiser and mounts directly to the top panel of the recorders. On sale now.

Around October, Meike will launch the first cine lens in a new series for cameras with Super 35 sensors (33.6 mm circular projection): the Meike 35mm T2.1 S35 Cine Lens. The lens will be sold in EF and PL versions and will offer a T/2.1 aperture, a long focus ring travel with M0.8 gears, and high optical performance with minimal distortion, vignetting and "breathing". The price will be approximately $539.99 USD excluding VAT. The new S35 Prime series will also include models with focal lengths of 18mm, 25mm, 50mm, 75mm and 105mm.

Panasonic is planning to release a new FW update for the LUMIX S1series by the end of this year, which will bring a number of innovations including 5K video recording for the S1R and significant improvements to the autofocus functions of the S1R/S1H/S1. The updated AF system will offer improved detection of people and their movement (in addition to eyes, faces and bodies, the entire head of subjects is also detected for more precise focusing), including when the subject is moving quickly, turning their back to the camera or tilting their head... The upgraded DFD technology will offer improved AFC for continuous focusing also for very small or fast moving subjects, in both photo and video modes.
