Nikon has just unveiled the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II lens. Compared to the previous generation, this new lens features internal zooming, faster autofocus, a new optical design, and is lighter, sharper, better balanced, and optimized for video. It is the world's first FX-format lens with a 24-70 mm range and internal zoom. Weighing only 675 g, it is also the lightest in its class. It is expected to be available at the end of September 2025.

The new NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II has been developed to give photographers and videographers more options in the field. It is easier to control and more durable than its predecessor. The internal zoom ensures that the lens's center of gravity does not change when zooming.
