Panasonic is planning to release a new FW update for the LUMIX S1series by the end of this year, which will bring a number of innovations including 5K video recording for the S1R and significant improvements to the autofocus functions of the S1R/S1H/S1. The updated AF system will offer improved detection of people and their movement (in addition to eyes, faces and bodies, the entire head of subjects is also detected for more precise focusing), including when the subject is moving quickly, turning their back to the camera or tilting their head... The upgraded DFD technology will offer improved AFC for continuous focusing also for very small or fast moving subjects, in both photo and video modes.

TheDatavideo HDR-90 is a video recorder for recording one UHD 4K track or up to four 1080p60 tracks to ProRes compressed format (10-bit, 4:2:2), on 2.5" SSDs. With two SSD slots, continuous recording is supported. The recorder offers 1x 4K HDMI input, 1x 12G-SDI input, 3x 3G-SDI inputs as well as an analog audio interface with XLR connectors. A 5" front panel LCD touch screen makes it easy to preview and measure (vectorscope, focus peaking, etc.) video as well as configure the unit. But the HDR-90 is not just an ISO recorder, it can also be used as a simple four-channel HD overhead including quad view display and video source switching by touch.

Thenew converter for connecting two-wire intercoms to four-wire systems is used to easily connect Mars T1000/SysCom 1000 devices with intercom products from other manufacturers, such as Clear-com, Hanson, Altair, Datavideo... The bi-directional converter offers a variety of features including input/output gain adjustment with LED level indication, DIP switch for cable length compensation and terminator (220R), 1/4 width 19" rack chassis for easy mounting of four devices in a single frame, direct power (12~36V) from two-wire intercoms, etc.

Thenew update for Blackmagic Design cameras is aimed primarily at users of the Blackmagic Camera Fiber Converter and Studio Fiber Converter for URSA Broadcast, where it implements the ability to activate phantom power for Intercom 1 and 2 channels, improved HDR support, increased sync stability/accuracy and other features. The three newly released updates to Blackmagic Design's products - Video Assist 3.2.3, DaVinci Resolve 16.2.6 and Blackmagic RAW 1.8.1 - are based on Blackmagic RAW support for recording from Sigma fpcameras via Video Assist 12G HDR monitors/recorders. Video Assist 3.2.3 is new firmware for Video Assist 12G HDR models, where it implements support for recording modes with frame rates of 100 and 119.88 fps, improves material color temperature, and fixes triggering Blackmagic RAW recording from Sigma fp (also requires Sigma fp v2.01 update). The Blackmagic RAW 1.8.1 update also improves support for Blackmagic RAW files shot with a combination of a Sigma fp camera and Video Assist 12G HDR.
