Tilta Top Handle for Sony FX6

The Tilta Top Handle ES-T20-TH replaces the Sony FX6's original handle with a lighter, lower handle that slides forwards and back, so you can balance the rig on its centre of gravity. It has a built-in monitor mount for Sony's original LCD bracket and a 15 mm rod mount for a viewfinder; the body is aluminium alloy with stainless steel parts.

The Tilta Top Handle for Sony FX6 is a fixed top handle designed specifically for the FX6 body. It is meant for builds where Sony's original handle with its XLR inputs gets in the way or is simply too big — on a gimbal, in a compact cage or when shooting without external audio.

In place of the original handle, with balance

The handle mounts directly to the Sony FX6 body in the same spot as the original handle and needs no cage to do so — it is designed around the Multi-Functional Top Plate ES-T20-MTP though, which keeps space free for it. Loosen the screw and it slides forwards and back, so even with a heavier lens you find the position where the camera hangs level in the hand and does not tip forward.

Monitor mount and a rod for the viewfinder

The built-in monitor mount takes Sony's original LCD monitor bracket, so the display stays where you are used to it and does not have to move to an arm. Next to it is a 15 mm rod mount for an EVF or other accessory. The handle is aluminium alloy with stainless steel hardware, black, and carries further threads along its length for a microphone or wireless video transmitter.

The Tilta cage for the Sony FX6

The Tilta cage for the Sony FX6 (ES-T20) wraps the camera with all ports protected and adds 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting points with ARRI locating pins, NATO rails and 15 mm rod holders. The ES-T20 accessories build on it — top plate, handles, battery plates, side plate or rod holders mount to the cage and to the camera body and combine freely; this one is among them.
