Tilta Multi-Functional Top Plate for Sony FX6

The Tilta Multi-Functional Top Plate ES-T20-MTP is the foundation of the cage for the Sony FX6: it wraps the top of the camera body, leaves Sony's original handle in place and adds 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessories. A pair of 15 mm rod holders is included, so a follow focus or a battery plate can run from above, in front of or behind the camera.

The Tilta Multi-Functional Top Plate is a top plate designed specifically for the Sony FX6 body. It is the first part that goes onto the camera — the side arm, the Tilta top handle and the battery plate build on it, while Sony's original handle and LCD monitor mount stay usable.

Fits around the original handle

The plate follows the top of the FX6 body exactly and wraps around Sony's original top handle, so you do not have to remove it — the XLR microphone inputs and the LCD monitor mount stay where they are. If you want a lighter build, swap the original for the Tilta top handle ES-T20-TH or the adjustable ES-T20-TH2; the plate is designed for both. At the back it has a lock the Tilta battery plate clicks into, securing it against being pulled out.

Threads and 15 mm rods from above

The whole length of the plate carries 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with holes for ARRI locating pins, so a monitor, wireless video transmitter or wireless microphone holds without twisting. A pair of ES-T20-SRH 15 mm rod holders is in the box: the rods run above the camera forwards to a follow focus or matte box, or backwards to a battery plate or viewfinder. The plate is aluminium alloy with stainless steel parts and comes in black.

The Tilta cage for the Sony FX6

The Tilta cage for the Sony FX6 (ES-T20) wraps the camera with all ports protected and adds 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting points with ARRI locating pins, NATO rails and 15 mm rod holders. The ES-T20 accessories build on it — top plate, handles, battery plates, side plate or rod holders mount to the cage and to the camera body and combine freely; this one is among them.
