Tilta Quick Release Shoulder Pad Baseplate for Canon C400

The Tilta ES-T22-SPB quick release shoulder pad baseplate turns a Canon EOS C400 rig from tripod to shoulder in moments. On top it has a Manfrotto receiver for the camera quick release plate, underneath a Sony VCT-U14 compatible plate, at the front 15 mm LWS rod clamps for a matte box and follow focus, and ARRI rosettes on both sides for extension arms and hand grips. The shoulder pad is rubber.

The shoulder pad baseplate is the part that turns a tripod rig into a shoulder rig. The camera sits on it through a Manfrotto quick release plate, and the baseplate itself drops into a VCT head or onto your shoulder; going back and forth is a matter of one lock. It comes with the Advanced Kit and the Pro Kit; with the Base Kit you buy it separately.

Key features

Manfrotto receiver on top

The camera goes onto the baseplate through a Manfrotto quick release plate — the same one that sits in the bottom plate of the ES-T22-A cage. One lever puts it on and takes it off, with no screwing.

VCT-U14 type plate underneath

The underside is built as a Sony VCT-U14 compatible plate, so it drops into any common VCT quick release head on a tripod or a shoulder rig. The baseplate itself is universal, not only for the C400.

15 mm rods at the front

At the front there are 15 mm LWS rod clamps. A matte box, follow focus or wireless receiver hangs off the rods, which gives the front of the rig a solid anchor.

Ergonomic shoulder pad

The pad is shaped and rubberised, so the rig does not slide on your shoulder and no edge digs in. The weight spreads along the whole length instead of one point.

ARRI rosettes on both sides

There are ARRI rosettes on both sides. Extension arms and hand grips mount on them — without those, shoulder work is not comfortable.
