The Tilta ES-T22-A Base Kit wraps the Canon EOS C400 body from above, below and both sides and adds an ARRI rosette, a NATO rail and dozens of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating points. The bottom plate carries a Manfrotto-style quick release, and the box also holds a rear accessory mounting plate for a lightweight battery plate and an EVF rod locking screw. A top handle, rods and a shoulder pad baseplate are not included.
The Base Kit is the smallest of the three Tilta kits for the Canon EOS C400: the cage itself plus three parts that turn it into a usable foundation. The cage protects the camera body and offers mounting points for accessories, the Manfrotto-style quick release bottom plate puts it on a tripod, and the rear accessory mounting plate carries a lightweight battery plate. You can expand it at any time — every part from the larger kits can be bought separately.
The cage meets the Canon EOS C400 body at several points, so the rig stays tight even after hours of shooting. Edges and connectors stay protected from knocks and scratches, and the camera will not shift in the cage even with a lens and follow focus hanging off it.

Build the rig the way you want it: the top plate, left and right side arms, bottom plate and multifunctional back plate are separate parts and every one of them comes off. The back plate carries a lightweight battery plate and other accessories.

The Tilta battery plate for the C400 gives you two USB-C PD outputs (60 W and 20 W), a regulated 14.8 V output and a 45 W USB-C PD input that can run the whole rig from a power bank. The plate swings aside, so you can reach the in-camera battery without taking anything apart.

The top handle carries a cold shoe and a row of threads for a monitor, microphone or wireless transmitter. It leaves the shoe accessible, works with the original EVF extension bracket and does not get in the way of a V-Mount battery on the back plate.

The cage is routed so it does not cover the body's cooling vents, and it leaves room for the original Canon C400 top handle and its connection cable. The EVF cable has its own opening with a locking screw.

With the shoulder pad baseplate you go from tripod to shoulder in moments. It takes 15 mm rods at the front for a matte box and follow focus, and has ARRI rosettes on both sides for extension arms and hand grips.

The box holds the cage (top plate, left and right side arms, bottom plate), the Manfrotto-style quick release bottom plate, the ES-T22-RMP rear accessory mounting plate and the ES-T22-ELS EVF rod locking screw.
The box does not hold a top handle, 15 mm rods, a quick release shoulder pad baseplate, Top Plate B or a battery plate. If you want those from the start, take a larger kit.
